Go Go Obama

President Obama had a speech to congress tonight. He delivered clear message about his health insurance idea. He tried to convince Republican congress to work together in order to make it happen.

He is a great speaker. When he mentioned that the reason everyone under this roof now is to “shape” the future, and about “American Characters”, I was very touched.

In the past few months, I heard some rumors about the new health insurance plan. The rumors are ridicules, but some people do believe it. How come? I couldn’t understand.

Everybody in this country knows the insurance system has to be changed. However, America is a Capitalism country. Congress protects big corporations. Republican against the new plan makes me feel that they are not really care about people. Republican claims they have good plans, which do not need to change the system. Well, if their plan would work, why don’t they place their plans during the 8 years of Bush administration? Now, they came up this idea just to against Obama, and protect insurance company.

I am healthy but I had hard time to get insurance after I lost job. I applied three companies and spent hundreds dollars on applications. I was turned down because my “pre-exist condition”. I know that any insurance company will make money from me if they insured me. How ridicules that I paid to “apply” it, but was turn down!

I cannot stop to think about those people who are not insured but truly need it. They must be so hopeless. Americans are proud of to be the “Great Nation”! People should feel sham in fact there are about thirty million people without insurance in the country. If this happens in Africa, I can understand. But, here is America!!

When I finally gave up getting insurance, I really miss Taiwan. I now can see how lucky people in Taiwan do not need to face the difficulty. This is not Socialism. It is a basic right for everybody!

Recently, I have insurance from my new job. Ironically, the insurance company is the one refused my application a couple months ago. This makes me so mad!

Get it done, Obama! People need someone to make this country better. Your team is doing a good thing!
