Love this picture - it was on my desktop.

Wonderful people make the world wonderful

The trip to Utah was nice - until Sunday night at 6pm.

We were just about ready to walk into a restaurant for dinner.  Then, Don found out that he lost his wallet!  He believed that it must fell out from his backpack between the parking lot of Buckskin Gulch, the hike to see the "mushrooms" at Toadstools, and the parking lot.
We both thought the wallet has greater chances got lost at the parking lot of the Toadstools or the trail.  So, we returned immediately, and hoping we will find it there.

When we realized, the entrance to Toadstools parking lot was already past.  Since we were on the way to the exit of the road to the Buckskin Gulch, we decided to check Buckskin Gulch parking lot first.
With disappointment, we did not find the wallet.  But we left a note at ranger’s box, and hoping someone would turn it in.

As we toward to Toadstools parking lot, we can’t help thinking that wallet must have taken by someone by now.  Very soon, we past the entrance again…  We returned, and parked the car into the parking lot.  Meanwhile, we both saw a SUV was just about to leave.
We jumped out the car and searched the ground and sign-in box.   I heard this driver approached to Don and asked his name.

Well, who would ask a stranger’s name without a reason?  Maybe he has the wallet?  Very next conversation I heard was how he found the wallet, and tried to see if there is a business card with information for him to contact the owner.  He said that he has asked every individual on the trail.   Now, he was trying to figure out where to turn the wallet in.
I asked if he is a local and turned out that he is a foreigner visitor from Austria.

How amazing the timing just worked out perfect!  If we did check Toadstools parking lot first, we would have missed the person.  If we arrived 5 minutes later, we would missed him.  So many if, but we just happened to meet him at that moment!

No words to express our relief – we can’t image what will happen if people use the ID or credit card to do whatever it should not be doing.
It was after 8pm, and finally, we could think about dinner again.

Stranger, we thank you very much!
